I love summer drinks, especially those that involve beer. Ā My favorite is the Raddler at Hopworks Urban Brewery, which is their take on the popular Shandy drink. Ā Half HUB Organic Lager and half in-house lemonade.
I recently found a recipe for Ginger Shandies. This recipe mixes together sweet and gingery flavors for a light, refreshing summer drink.
Here are the ingredients you need:
- 3 11.2-ounce bottles of Hoegaarden (I’ll try this with HUB Organic Lager)
- 1 12-ounce bottle of ginger beer (I’m a big fan of Cock n Bull Ginger Beer)
- 1 thinly sliced lemon
- mint sprigs
Instructions:
In a large pitcher, combine the Hoegaarden (err HUB Organic Lager) with the ginger beer. Ā Stir in most of the lemon slices and mint sprigs. Ā Fill six glasses with ice. Ā Add remaining lemon slices and pour in the shandy. Ā Garnish each drink with mint sprig and serve!
What is your favorite shandy?
