Beer Bread Recipe – Jon’s Simple Yummy Beer Bread

Posted on May 11, 2011 · 5 Comments

One of my best friends from high school, Jon, taught me this recipe while visiting back in 2008.  Definitely the best beer bread I’ve ever had.  WAY better than the stuff you can buy at the store.

Ingredients:

  • 3 C. Flour
  • 1/2 C. Sugar
  • 3 t. Baking Powder
  • 1 Dark Beer (Room Temperature)*
  • 3/4 Stick of Melted Butter

* We used Sam Adam’s Cream Stout

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Grease loaf pan
  3. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and beer
  4. Pour into pan
  5. Bake for 45 minutes
  6. Then pour melted butter on top
  7. Bake for an additional 15 minutes
  8. Cool and enjoy!

Do you make beer bread?  What recipe do you use?

About BiteSize

Hi! I’m Jenna, but I got the nickname BiteSize in high school. I love homebrewing beer, thus BiteSize Brews. A blog focused on homebrewing, local brewery reviews and recipes. I’m lucky enough to live in the microbrewery capital of the world. I’m also a big fan of social media (chances are I’ll sprinkle a bit of it into this blog).

Some of us learn from the mistakes of others; the rest of us have to be the others. You hear all the time that you have to “spend money to make money”. All that does is make your wallet lighter without making you any richer. The result is that you end up spending more and more money without making any money and at the end of the day, that’s the exact opposite of what you WANT to do. As fast as the internet is changing, picking any one method almost guarantees that the method you choose will become obsolete and ineffective. That means that all the time and money you put into that method will be wasted and you’ll be starting over – from zero. The whole point is to be able to create income sources quickly and easily that will ADD to whatever you are doing now. Here is something that could really help http://bitesizebrews.com/2011/05/11/beer-bread-recipe-jons-simple-yummy-beer-bread/ or any other blogs out there. http://tinyurl.com/79bgptw

This might be good information for my research. If I use it, I’ll be sure to link back to you and mention you as a resource.
